POWERS COMBINE FOR LOGO UPDATE

MLS, Soccer Business

Written by: Gabe

The Columbus Crew new logo project has gathered a lot of support and attention in the last month or so, mostly due to being featured on epically prominent design blog Brand New. We’ve had tons of cats vitamins
smart, critical commentary, which led to this new and (in my opinion) improved version of the logo.

Using the community's feedback, like-minded designer Brian Gundell voluntarily worked out many of the kinks in my initial idea. Together we came to this design, which I like because it's true(r) to the original purpose of the project: create a conceptually identical logo that looks first-rate, clean and crisp. You can read about the details of this design in the photos section of ourĀ Facebook Group.

THIS LOGO SUCKS LIKE THE REST OF THEM. NOBODY LIKES THEM AND THE ONLY REASON YOU HAVE SOME PEOPLE ON FACEBOOK THAT SUPPORT IT IS BECAUSE THEY ARE YOUR FRIENDS AND THEY FEEL BAD FOR YOU

    You seem pretty upset.

    :(

  3. I consider myself a graphic designer and my first impressions for the previous logo weren’t so great. I do like this one a lot better and think it’s a great update. I could definitely see this becoming the official logo and would happily buy a jersey with it on it. Great job and good luck with the venture.

  4. Do you have a larger version? I wanna whip up a wallpaper with it.

Thanks, Patrick. The largest version available online at the moment is here:

Please share the wallpaper when you’re done!

  6. Image is the perfect size. Here’s what I’ll call the “first edition.” http://dezine3.deviantart.com/art/Columbus-Crew-Wallpaper-Wide-108956846

    Looks hot Patrick! Nice work.

  8. Just added some line! Nothing big, the logo makes it look great.
