Week 6 and how Prem clubs fail to take advantage of gifts. ASTROHEADERs 30-second recap of round 6 in the English Premier League;
- In a great and physical game, Man City beat Chelsea 1-0. Tevez took the ball from half field and scored through the legs of Ashley Cole that waited waaaay to long to step up
As the Man City v Chelsea was the first game of the weekend, how did the other big clubs do in this rare chance to gain some points on the leaders?
- Tottenham lost to regulation bound West Ham 0-1. Expected by Tottenham
- Liverpool tied Sunderland 2-2. Liverpool really isn’t a threat this year so I don’t know why I put them here. Bent is absurd and had an awesome header in the 48th minute
- Arsenal lost to West Brom (WB is currently sitting 6th on the table) 2-3
- Man United ties Bolton on a late Owen goal, 2-2
So basically no one took advantage of the Chelsea loss. At least for 1 day I thought the Prem season was going to get competitive…. swing and a miss
In other Prem games:
- Everton tied Fulham 0-0 to have their worst start in years…. poor Tim Howard. Everton is currently last on the table
